2. LAKE HAVASU CITY CAROUSEL
----------------------------------------
After 6 years of contract negotiations, the State of Arizona and the City
of Lake Havasu City have reached an operations agreement. The
carousel is a 1920's Allan Herschell. During the last 3 years, the
carousel has been in Brass Ring's shop awaiting restoration.
The public will be able to watch the progress of the restoration online by going to

of the Elk City, OK carousel by going to http://www.carousel.com/elkcity.
A new batch of pictures featuring Ed Roth horses for the carousel will soon be up.

3. JIM ATEN AUCTION
--------------------------
It's getting closer. The auction is on March 11 and the catalog is
printed. This auction will be AWESOME!!!!! The catalog is a collectors
item. It contains fantastic photography of some of the finest carousel
animals available today. You can get a glimpse and information by going

If you come to the auction don't forget to visit Pasadena's Old Town
District. A new restaurant called PAUSE will be open and it features
the entire set of trim from the Circus World's Illion's Supreme Carousel,
a Wurlitzer 146 band organ and some of the finest carousel animals to
ever be put on display. If that's not enough, there is the large display
of restored Wurlitzer juke boxes (yes they play them as well as the band
organ) and Baranger animations. Plus much, much more. It's a real treat
with EXCELLENT food and GREAT prices (ask about the carousel desert,
you won't be sorry). I'd call for reservations first, it's the hottest
restaurant in the Los Angeles area with a huge parking garage across

4. WHALOM PARK CAROUSEL

As Brass Ring reported in the last newsletter, the Whalom Park carousel
in Massachusetts will be sold April 15th. Norton auctioneers will offer
the machine piece by piece then offer the machine as a whole. Brass
Ring has been contacted about a movement to save the carousel. This is
a rare carousel featuring 4 Looff Greyhound Dogs!!!! Local activists
have a location, all they need is some help in raising the funds.
Here's your chance to help save a piece of Americana. It's going to be
a fight between collectors wanting the extremely rare animals and a community
trying to save a piece of local heritage. If your interested in helping

5. CAROUSEL TRADER MAGAZINE
----------------------------------------
The Carousel Trader is the finest magazine that deals only with
carousels and the collecting of carousel art. Month after month
you get nothing but articles about and photos of carousels and
the latest news about carousels. If you like this newsletter, you
will love the magazine. Coming in April is the buyers guide. This is
the issue with EVERYONE that deals in carousel animals, the restoration
of carousels and anything else you can think of that's carousel related
advertise in. 10 issues are published per year with 40 to 50 pages many
in COLOR for $29.00 USA. To subscribe you can email them at

Ring's Carousel Newsletter. For new dealers it's not too late to list
your company in the buyers guide. The prices are cheap for what you
get, but you better hurry time is running out.

6. UPCOMING ISSUES

Brass Ring hopes to soon announce the restoration of a large historic
machine as well as a new internet carousel collectible store. Our staff
is extremely excited about our future in the carousel world. But like
most businesses there are growing pains. Please bear with us as we
continue to expand and grow. We take criticism well and praise much
better. Please remember the newsletter is a written by Brass Ring's
staff in their FREE time. We feel we are very fortunate to work in the
carousel community.
